    Terms of Service

The terms for learning, sharing, and using MedC on the web and in our mobile apps.

    Effective and last updated:

    1. About these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of MedC, the medical education service available at medci.org and through the MedC mobile apps (together, the Service). References to we, us, or our mean MedC. You agree to these terms when you create an account or otherwise accept them. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service.

These terms apply to students, educators, creators, and other users. Any additional terms presented for a particular course or purchase also apply to that offering. Your use of an app store remains subject to that store's terms; Google is not the provider of MedC's educational content or a party to these terms.

    2. Eligibility and account security

MedC is intended for medical students, graduates, and educators. You must be legally able to agree to these terms. If you are below the age of legal adulthood where you live, a parent or legal guardian must authorize your use where permitted by applicable law.

Provide accurate registration details, keep them current, and protect your sign-in credentials. Use only your own account and do not sell, transfer, or share access to paid content. Tell us promptly at support@medci.org if you suspect unauthorized access. Access may be subject to the device and account limits shown in the Service.

    3. Education and medical information

MedC provides educational and reference materials, including courses, questions, explanations, flashcards, videos, and practice exams. MedC is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. It does not provide patient-specific medical advice or establish a clinician–patient relationship.

Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not delay seeking care because of content on MedC. For an emergency, contact your local emergency services. Medical knowledge changes; verify information against current authoritative sources and local clinical guidance before applying it.

Practice results do not guarantee examination success, accreditation, professional qualifications, or clinical competence. AI-assisted explanations, where available, can contain errors and require independent verification. Do not submit identifiable patient data.

    4. Your access to learning materials

MedC and its content owners retain their intellectual property rights. Subject to these terms and the access you have obtained, you may use learning materials for your personal study or an expressly authorized educational purpose. Downloads are permitted only where the Service provides that option. Do not redistribute, resell, publicly repost, remove ownership notices from, or bypass access controls on protected content without permission, except as allowed by applicable law.

    5. Contributions and prohibited conduct

These rules apply to comments, questions, uploads, creator materials, and other contributions. You must accept these terms before creating or uploading contributions. Only submit material you have the right to share. You retain ownership and grant MedC a non-exclusive license to host, process, display, and distribute it as needed to operate the features and audience you submit it to.

You must not post, upload, or use the Service for:

    • Harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats, incitement to violence, or discrimination against people or protected groups.
    • Sexual exploitation or abuse, content that endangers children, pornography, or other unlawful or sexually explicit material. Legitimate medical illustrations must have an educational purpose and respect privacy and consent.
    • Patient-identifying information, another person's private data without authorization, impersonation, or infringement of copyright or other rights.
    • Fraud, spam, harmful medical misinformation, promotion of illegal activity, malware, unauthorized access, or interference with the Service or other users.
    • Cheating, distributing confidential exam materials, manipulating results or rewards, or circumventing payment and security controls.

Report objectionable content or conduct using available in-app report controls or email support@medci.org with enough information to identify the issue. Do not include patient records or other unnecessary sensitive data. We may review reports, remove or restrict content, and suspend accounts for violations. Contact support if you believe a moderation decision was mistaken.

    6. Prices, purchases, and points

Some content requires payment. Review the price, currency, included content, access period, and any other purchase conditions before confirming. The checkout identifies what you are buying. Timed access ends after its stated period; a one-time purchase does not by itself authorize recurring charges.

Digital purchases made through Google Play billing are processed by Google Play under its purchase terms. The amount shown in the Google Play purchase confirmation applies to that transaction. Keep your receipt and use the account associated with the purchase when requesting help or restoring eligible purchases.

MedC points are credits for eligible features within MedC. They are not money, cannot be transferred or resold, and cannot be redeemed for cash, except where required by law. Review the points required before spending them. Purchase and refund rights still apply where required by the relevant store policy or applicable law.

    7. Refunds and purchase support

For purchases billed by Google Play, you can request a refund through Google Play's refund process or contact MedC support for purchase assistance. Eligibility depends on the purchase, the applicable store policy, and your legal rights. For other purchases, contact the seller or store shown on your receipt. Include your order reference, but never send passwords or full payment-card details.

Refunded or reversed purchases may lose the associated access or points. Deleting the app or your MedC account does not itself request a refund. If you have a recurring subscription through an app store, manage or cancel it with that store; account deletion does not itself cancel store billing. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights or remedies for faulty or misdescribed content.

    8. Privacy and permissions

Read our Privacy Policy for information about personal data and privacy requests. These terms do not replace that policy, in-app data disclosures, or permission requests. Agreeing to these terms does not grant device permissions or replace any separate consent required for processing your data.

    9. Delete your MedC account

You can request permanent deletion of your MedC account and associated personal data without reinstalling the app. Choose one of these options:

Deletion is permanent and ends access to your account, saved progress, and account-linked purchases. It is different from signing out or uninstalling the app. Historical study challenge results may remain without your account identity. See the Privacy Policy's data deletion section and contact support for questions about your data or a deletion request.

    10. Service changes and suspension

We may update the Service, correct learning materials, or temporarily interrupt access for maintenance or security. We may restrict content or accounts that violate these terms, infringe others' rights, or put the Service at risk. You can contact support to ask for a review. Changes or suspension do not remove any refund or other remedy you are entitled to under applicable law or the relevant store's rules.

    11. Availability and responsibility

We aim to provide useful and accurate educational resources, but cannot promise uninterrupted service, error-free content, or particular learning outcomes. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided as available without additional warranties. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, limits mandatory consumer protections, or prevents you from bringing a complaint before a competent authority or court.

    12. Updates to these terms

Updated terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be brought to your attention through an appropriate notice, and we will request renewed acceptance where required. Changes do not retroactively remove rights that apply to an existing purchase. If you do not agree to revised terms, stop using the Service; you may request account deletion and any remedy available to you under applicable law.

    13. Contact MedC

For questions about these terms, content reports, purchase problems, privacy, or account deletion, contact MedC in Cairo, Egypt at support@medci.org. Include the relevant content link or order reference so we can understand your request.
